Free-to-play adult games, checked against the Steam store

AfterDark Plays is a small, independent catalog of free-to-play adult games that actually exist on Steam or in the browser. Every profile is built from the Steam store record — release date, developer and publisher, platforms, genres, DLC count, interface languages, minimum specs — plus the developer's own dated announcements. No mod APKs, no invented promo codes, no star ratings we did not measure.

How this catalog works

Every profile is built from the Steam store record — release date, developer and publisher, platforms, DLC count, minimum specs — and shows the date those facts were last verified. Time-sensitive things (new characters, events, promo codes) come only from the developer's dated Steam announcements, linked on each page.

  • No mod APKs, no invented promo codes, no star ratings we did not measure.
  • Best-of lists are ordered by stated criteria you can check, never by an opaque score.
  • Some links are affiliate links and are marked as such; we also run guide sites for a few games and say so.

Frequently asked questions

Are these games really free to play?

Yes — every released game in the catalog is listed as free-to-play on Steam, meaning the base game installs and runs at no charge. All of them sell in-game currency, passes or DLC; the DLC count on each profile shows how deep that paid layer goes.

Do I need a Steam account?

For the Steam versions, yes, and the account must have mature content enabled in Steam's preferences to see adult-rated store pages. Some games also offer browser versions on the developer's site; profiles note the official entry point when one is published.

Is AfterDark Plays the official site of any of these games?

No. This is an independent catalog. Official sites are the Steam store pages linked on every profile and the developers' own domains. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any developer or publisher.

How does the site make money?

Through affiliate and tracking links: if you start playing a game via a link on this site, we may earn a commission at no cost to you. Links that can earn a commission are marked as sponsored in the page markup, and the arrangement never changes what we write or which games appear.

Where do the promo codes come from?

Exclusively from developers' official Steam announcements. Each code is listed with its announcement date, validity window when stated, and our last check date; expired codes stay visible and labelled. We never publish codes from forums, code-farm sites or guesswork.

How often is the catalog updated?

Store facts are re-verified when a profile is rebuilt and carry the verification date. Announcements are pulled from Steam at build time, and a weekly digest summarizes the most important ones. Promo-code status is re-checked at least monthly and whenever a festival or event is announced.
